Solitaire – The popular computerized version, Klondike, involves a single player who lays out seven cards facing up. The player draws cards from a deck and tries to move the cards around to arrange them in alternating suit and descending order. A player wins when all cards have been placed in order.
Go Fish – Typically involving two to five players, Go Fish starts when each player is dealt five or seven cards depending on the number of total players. The remaining cards are placed in a pile at the center of the table. Players then try to acquire all four suits of a particular card – called a book. The player with the most books wins the game.
War – The goal of this game is to obtain all the playing cards. Two opposing players lay down one card at the same time. The player with the higher card takes both cards. If players show the same card, they engage in a “war” and continue laying down cards until one player has a higher value.
