Protecting Yourself from the Sun at our Mount Dora, Florida, Apartments
Florida is known for its sunshine, and the warm climate in beautiful Mount Dora is just one of the many reasons that our residents love living at Veranda. But it’s also important to protect yourself from the sun when you go outside. Be sure to have sunblock with SPF 15 or above, a hat or visor, an umbrella, plenty of water, and sunglasses close at hand. Wherever you go, always carry sunscreen in your bag or car so that you can reapply throughout the day, especially if you’ll be sweating or going into the water. An extra t-shirt is also a good idea so you have a cover-up in case of a burn.
In addition to the above precautions, residents of our Mount Dora, Florida, apartments should make sure they apply sunscreen at least 30 minutes before going into the sun or water so that the lotion has a chance to dry. Apply thoroughly and pay special attention to these easy-to-forget places:
- Backs of knees
- Part line of hair
- Tops of feet
- Tops of hands
